Jewish people? They are overwhelming represented in Forbes 400, Forbes 500 corporations, media and upper echelons of government.  They're the most successful demographic in the country rivaled only by the original WASPs, the Episcopalians, due to high intelligence, culture that values success and clannish behavior (WASPs used to do this).  Interestingly, you see similar results with overseas Chinese in other Asian countries.

As for your second question, until fairly recent times, [b]White people made up the overwhelming number of immigrants to this country (until 1965) and were about 90% of the population until the 1980's.  Of course culture, media, government, etc is going to reflect who the majority of people are in the nation in most circumstances.[/b][/quote]
DP.. that's the point, so why are some white people still complaining since this is still the case.

I personally grew up in a very Jewish location outside NYC (my private school was half jewish, we had a rabbinical college in our town etc).  I can tell if someone is Jewish often by mannerisms as well as looks unless their family has heavily outmarried (which most jews are doing today), but most people don't have this experience.

The current US population is about 61% non-hispanic white.  That is a [b]HUGE demographic change [/b]in just 30 years of nearly 30%!

I stated on this forum that some white people are scared about the fact that they will become minorities and was told by some poster that it was liberal BS that the media was pushing.   Even so, most minorities do not think white people should be ashamed to be white or celebrate their heritage as long as it's not hateful.  Are there those who do feel this way? Sure, as there are white people who are hateful and racist and think if you are black then you are inferior.  Opposite sides of the same coin.[/quote]
