But no one I know or ever heard of sought out Our Lady of Mercy for academic excellence. They go there because its their Parish school. Their record at getting their students into the high schools these people want their kids to get into (Prep, Gonzaga, Stone Ridge and Visitation) is good. But it's no better than other local Catholic schools like De Chantal or St. Barts. The people in the parish have a very strong influence over the school. Thinking of it as just some standalone entity standing next to a Church and finding it attractive because of its location seems to me to be a recipe for disappointment.[/quote]
