This is very exciting. As a young woman in her late 20s, I could presumably freeze my eggs and have the same amount of reproductive freedom as a male, waiting until my 50s to have a kid if I wanted to- or even later. Wonderful. I'm gonna look into this
My mother is 64 and her cognition has declined. She cant adapt well to new situations and in the ladt few years handles stress poorly. I cannot even IMAGINE dealing with a mouthy teen as a senior citizen. We live in an affluent community and there are no shortage of smart calculating cute women hitched to high earners pumping out adorable gerber babies.
At only 64? Does she drink or smoke, or does she not exercise? That's very young to have cognitive issues unless you fail to take care of yourself.
NP here. You're deluded. At 65, if a person were to develop Alzheimer's it wouldn't be considered to be early-onset. I've had two clients I can think of off the top of my head, both extremely accomplished professionals, who were dealing with pretty obvious cognition issues in this age range (one late 50s male, one mid 60s female). I have another client, currently mid-60s, who I have worked with a lot in the past and on this current job, it has been noticeable how she has become slightly forgetful. It is definitely nothing dramatic in her case, but I notice it because we work closely and she used to be razor sharp. To the outside world, I'm sure she is the same Larla they've always known, but I see that now she is forgetting details of conversations she never would have misremembered even five years ago. While she is still spectacular at what she does, I suspect things would change quickly if she were dealing with the stresses of a boomerang kid, or something similar. Yes, for SOME people, 45 might be the new 33, but 65 will never be the new 45.
