Yes, the quote you posted also says that they don't know if Obama was on the plane. But I kind of love the thought of you gaping, slack-jawed, at the thought of a presidential couple needing to travel separately at times. [/quote]

If Obama himself had been boarding Richard Branson's plane with Michelle, there would be photos. That the press had to inquire where Obama was confirms he was not traveling with Michelle, and neither were Malia and Sasha.
