ECNL is fine for now but MLSN is the top league for boys. If MLSN cared about dominating the youth soccer market they easily could.

No matter how you try to defend it, there's not 3-4 times the number of girls in ECNL than GA.  Maybe 25% more girls.  But over three times the number of D1 committs.  And that ratio gets more pronounced next year as the better teams move from GA to ECNL....[/quote]

They “know” they don’t like the school but get FOMO. The transfer portal has all kind of players. Didn’t you see UNC top players transferring to other colleges? So don’t assume that only kids that don’t get playing time are the only ones in the portal.[/quote]
The UNC players left because several went pro and there was a rumor their coach was retiring.

HS players with a plan to play at one school only to join the transfer portal to join another school makes no sense unless you're in jr college.

More likely ECNL club and coach connections get them in the door. When they step on the field it is painfully obvious that they don't belong so they enter the transfer portal.[/quote]
