If people understand that the purpose of rationing is to punish the oil companies and gas station operators who are gouging prices right now, they’ll be all for it. But the optics of it have to be communicated effectively. People need to understand the point of the rationing is to stabilize prices and limit profiteering by big oil. When they see oil companies as the enemy, they will applaud the administration for going after them. [/quote]
