I don't know if it's a double standard.  I see that type of question as, we know that at least one person is bringing a kid(s) into this relationship.  Is it going to get more complicated than that, with more children being involved.  And with Matt's situation of 9 secret kids, that would be the first thing I would ask as well.

New guy SEEMS nice enough, but he has two ex-girlfriends who put out restraining orders against him.  One even included her dog in it.  So... maybe not so nice.[/quote]
