I was ok with the deja story, and I usually like the mixed up storyline. But I found this episode hard to watch with all the flipping around.  I almost stopped watching.  It was like they had a 20 minute story and filled it in with random clips.

I actually loved the clips and what they brought to Deja's story.  They were strategically placed (not random at all) to show the contrast of the Pearsons' lives to hers.  The Pearsons having fun making bread together, and William and the girls cooking together - then showing Deja, all alone, trying to make a b-day dinner for her mom.  And the scenes of Beth, Rebecca, and even Randall's birth mother giving birth - and then Shauna giving birth to Deja.  It was all so interesting to see compared and contrasted versions of similar life events.[/quote]

Lol.  I know that they were not truly random, but I found the numerous short clips to be overwhelming and distracting.  Normally I like them, this episode I thought it was too much.   And not really needed.   But glad some people liked it!  [/quote]
