If you can't understand the very large difference in number of college coaches at ECNL showcases/tournaments vs GA showcases/tournaments and the large discrepency in the number of ECNL girls in high level soccer colleges vs GA, we can't help you.  The coaches are not just scouting Nationals, why is every GA hat so concerned with Nationals?  College and USWNY scouts are scouting at almost every major ECNL showcase.  Tournament after tournament the ECNL girls mop up on GA teams.  Sure, there are a couple of GA teams here and there that are good, maybe even great.  But not in THIS area.  There is not a local GA team that could hold a candle to the ECNL talent in this area.  So this move means that the quality of teams the Loudoun girls will be playing week in and week out will go drastically down.  One of the best ways to get better is to play quality opponents.  That is why we think ECNL is so much better for our daughter in THIS area.  I know that you will respond with some nonsense that GA is the future because a couple of teams defected (forgetting about all the GA teams that moved to ECNL the last few years).  But that is just speculation and the simple numbers of scouts and placement at colleges are facts.[/quote]

You bring up an interesting point about THIS area. ECNL hats like to point out the number of college coaches is higher at ECNL events which is absolutely true. But in THIS area, most kids are interested in colleges up and down the east coast. When you start to look at the colleges who attend ECNL events but not GA, you see that a lot of them are from Utah, Omaha, west Texas, Oregon, Arkansas. In other words, not the colleges kids from THIS area are interested in. The number of college coaches is more similar when you are only considering eastern US which is where GA happens to also be strongest. If your daughter is interested in primarily eastern colleges, playing for a GA club in THIS area will give her all the exposure she needs. Especially when you also include the non-league events she will go to where the eastern colleges also attend (Jeff Cup, PDA showcase, VDA showcase, Penn Fusion showcase). If your daughter doesn't get recruited is won't be because she is playing GA and not ECNL.[/quote]
