Saying VYS would be "favored" over PDA is the opposite of a fact. Tournament records for U10s are a ridiculous metric unless everyone's playing the same strength of opposition and everyone has the same thoughts on the "development vs. winning" argument. They do not. The VPL records are facts, and that's one reason I wonder if VYS would be better off outside VPL. When it has a good team (usually girls but occasionally boys), they can be D1 NCSL or maybe EDP along with challenging tournaments and perhaps even ERL. In age groups that get picked clean by Bethesda South, Braddock Road, McLean or VDA, play wherever they fit. But the VDA alliance might make it politically difficult for VYS to pull out of VPL.
