Who gets what from the Queen in terms of inheritance? That’s what I’m dying to know!
Bulk goes to the heir. But she’ll probably have her will sealed for 100 years like Philipp did.
This. Most of the monarch’s wealth comes from the Duchy of Lancaster, which is now under Charles. And yes the details will not be released.
This is incorrect. There is monarchy’s/crown wealth and personal wealth. She has made a fortune just by breeding horses, that was just one of her side gigs. Andrew and her other kids will be well taken care of without needing to rely on Charles. That’s why Harry is hanging around too.
I didn’t say all, I said bulk and that is 100% true. The others will get peanuts in comparison to Charles. Not saying they will be destitute. The adult kids will be fine for their remaining days - they are already 70’s and 60’s. The grandkids (apart from William) will get something, but not enough to set then up for life with no need for additional income.
That’s why Anne’s kids have always worked. And Edward and Sophie have said they are raising their children with the expectation that they will need to work. Or marry well.
Anne was intelligent enough to give her kids the freedom to do what they chose with their lives. Everyone has to work, 73 year old King Charles has been flying around the country and attending engagements non stop for the past 4 days with little time to mourn his parent. That’s brutal.
That's not really working. And if you really think about it, the royals don't really work. And then there is wills and Kate who hardly do anything at all. Esp Kate.
No. That really is work on behalf of the United Kingdom More than intelligence, Anne has the character, grace and work ethic of her mother. She is the one who will fill the Queen’s role as the heart of Britain as she quietly goes about her extensive duties with no complaint or fanfare. She was the first woman to stand at the Prince’s Vigil for her mother and accorded the Queen a deep curtsey as her body arrived in Edinburgh’s cathedral Look for Anne to take a larger tile in support if Charles with her legendary competence and humility. The Sussexes can return to their American celebrity while the true riyals soldier on.
Oh, come on. People like to tout Anne as "the hardest-working royal," but she isn't really working. She's keeping busy. She may deserve the title of "busiest royal" (I don't follow the royals enough to know the schedules), but appearing at ribbon-cuttings isn't work in the sense that she produces anything of value.
That is their entire job. None of the royals are sitting on the bench curing cancer. They don’t care if it displease you.
I'm American, so I am sure they DGAF. But at the point that you have to describe attending ribbon-cuttings as "a job," you've pretty much made it clear that the royals are a waste of resources. Older Britons may not be ready to give up the monarchy, but when Charles pops his clogs? Or William? Buh-bye.
I’m American and I also would not pay someone to do this job. But if someone is willing to pay for it and derives some benefit from it—which apparently the Brits do, as they are not refusing to pay—then it’s a job. I mean, there are people who paint their toe nails on only fans because there are people willing to pay for it. The entire karxashian empire is built on people paying for things that I think are dumb. But that seems to be what makes the world go round. There’s the famous Roman quote about bread and circuses for the masses. These are the circuses and people apparently want them. Will they want them by the time George is old enough? Who knows. Maybe he’ll end up selling his company and presence like his shiftless great-great-great uncle or like the Russian princes did.
