Only a handful go to “great schools” from each year, whether Bethesda or Virginia Union. Each club could consider themselves lucky if they had 5 players go to P5 schools every year. Even top clubs like Solar or PDA does not put every girl in a P5 school. I would say expect maybe 5 players to go P5 with the rest being sprinkled between small D1, D2 and D3 schools. And this is for top performing teams. Years like ‘07 and ‘09 may only have one or two with top college commitments. The same can be said about any ECNL club in the DMV. Should also be said most of these scholarships will be 50% or less.

This is reality, Bethesda, Union, Pipeline, Arlington, or Loudoun. Sorry.[/quote]

Bethesda girls side with another power 5 commit from the top team...that's at least 5 power 5's, 2 ivy and 3 or 4 mid majors so far.  Not sure what reality you are talking about...that's just Bethesda.  Your scholarship percentage is wrong as well.  I saw 2 or 3 big time commits from McLean last week as well.  VDA has quite a few.  There are a bunch of very good girls in the DMV across all of these clubs.[/quote]

They are talking about class of ‘24 who was one of the good Bethesda teams. No ‘25s have committed to any school as of yet.

Class of ‘23 had two P5 commits and not many mid majors.

No one hear seems to mention what it takes to do D1 soccer.  It's 60-80 hours a week for soccer and school.  It's almost year round. that's crazy.  Just because some girls choose not to do D1 doesn't mean they couldn't.  They want a life in college.  So many kids drop soccer after the first few months.  College soccer is not great and there's really no future after it. So stop worrying about what other girls are doing. [/quote]
