I mean, whenever I have children down the road, I'll be encouraging them to do their research about what schools will be the right fits for them across a broad spectrum of metrics.

Chances are the admissions environment will be much different 15-20 years down the road than it is now. One thing I won't have is misguided expectations about where they will and won't get in, nor will I be evaluating the caliber of my parenting based on their acceptances, rejections, and deferrals.

So go tell URMs who were rejected from TJ to increase their level of effort (study harder & longer), accept the rejections with grace and make the most of the opportunities afforded to them by affirmative action and other measures. [/quote]
