Many many countries - including Brazil- are run by corrupt people and this kind of events are normal- fortunately the swimmers were obviously olympic athletes, they had money to get them off their backs. They easily could have been some blip in another death - I would say if the spotlight had not been on Rio/brazil however a coach was killed during the Olympics so there goes that.
