Congrats from one parent of an art major (performing arts over here) to another! Exciting acceptances and I’m fully aware of the “extra” that goes into these applications with portfolios, interviews etc. [/quote]

Agree! My DC is in at SAIC and waiting on RISD too.

We took DC to NYC Portfolio day and I was in awe of the many, many students in attendance hustling around with their large portfolios standing there while AOs gave feedback on their work- which we know they put their heart and soul into. [/quote]

My DC got into SAIC and VCUarts with merit aid around 20K.  Still waiting to hear back from Umich-stamps.  Still pretty undecided on which school they will choose.  Plan on doing lots of visits soon.[/quote]
