Something interesting that I noticed poking around their website is that on their College Commitments page (https://www.loudounelitevb.com/collegecommitments) they include players who ever played a single season for them that went on to play in college. They are transparent about what age(s) they played for the club. I don't think it's inappropriate - they played a part in these players' path to play in college. Just not something I have seen others clubs do in that way.
Wish that this was the norm for all clubs. The "college recruiting" clubs often called tier 1 live off of the recruiting of players from other clubs. For example, both Metro and VAE have a lot of college commits, great for them and for the region! But a number of players that joined them at U17 and U18 already had lot of recruiting interest while they were on other clubs U16 teams. An even larger number trained at other clubs at U15 and earlier. You don't see the clubs that they were with taking credit for that, but you certainly see those tier 1 clubs constantly marketing it. While players should always be able to play wherever they want, those interested in playing in college should have better info than they do today.
Some players may not appreciate their previous clubs and coaches at all and they never mention their previous clubs. For example in club A 23/24 14T, some players from mvsa, when they playing games vs MVSA teams, they are so excited and played like mvsa kicked them out. (Watch youtu.be videos). Some club coaches need coach kids to be a nice person before winning big. Win or lose is just part of life.
I think it goes both ways though. I've seen clubs being petty to players that move to other clubs. Some clubs seem to expect players to be loyal to them, but then see no issue not offering a spot to a player who has been with the club for multiple seasons.
