Let's abandon the Walt Disney World fairy tale portrayal of everyone as being perfect for a moment and embrace the reality that people are indeed fallible and everyone makes mistakes in life, especially kids.  
So based on that premise even before we get to the hypothetical of two college seniors trying to get into medical school let's go back...
100 Kim's and 100 Kanye's, all elementary school students, disrupt the class.  Only 100 get detention.  Guess.
100 Kim's and 100 Kanye's, all high school students, are disrespectful to a teacher.  Only 100 get suspended.  Guess.
100 Kim's and 100 Kanye's, all college freshman, are caught off campus smoking weed.  Only 100 get expelled.  Guess.
In a nutshell white privilege negatively affects people of color and impedes their opportunities for success altogether LONG BEFORE the "evils" of Affirmative Action and enhanced diversity can potentially inhibit one or two whites from getting exactly what they want.
