Does anyone think that Burke actually DID sexually assault her? THAT would be something worth staging a murder and botched kidnapping to cover up. Especially if there was something sexual committed by Burke either just the night in question and there was also some accident. Or, if patsy was aware of some sort of illicit behavior by Burk in the past either towards JB or in general and that night there was some sort of accident and she put it together that his inappropriate proclivities would surface and would be too much to bear on top of an accidental death of JB. First PP here again. As far as the time between the head trauma and the strangulation I think it could be possible that she was hurt so badly that she appeared to be dead to the parents and they therefore went and staged the rest of the crime scene not knowing she was technically still alive at that time.

Its possible that Burke or someone else could have sexually assaulted her. From what I remember about the autopsy report the ME thought that there was evidence of sexual trauma on her that was not from that night and would have happened previously.

Bottom line: I think there was a lot that went on in that home behind closed doors. Very sad for all involved. [/quote]
