Subject: Who did you think killed JonBenet?
I think you people need to read up on the facts of the case. First of all, this was a brutal sexual assault, very unlikely to be perpetrated by the parents as a cover-up. Also the parents were cleared because of more sophisticated DNA testing. The unknown DNA found in her underwear was originally thought to be possible contamination. However, when more sophisticated DNA was developed, this same DNA was found on her pajamas at the hip area on both sides, where it would seem to be someone pulling down her pajama bottoms. This was considered as proof that an intruder had assaulted her.

Does anyone think that Burke actually DID sexually assault her? THAT would be something worth staging a murder and botched kidnapping to cover up. Especially if there was something sexual committed by Burke either just the night in question and there was also some accident. Or, if patsy was aware of some sort of illicit behavior by Burk in the past either towards JB or in general and that night there was some sort of accident and she put it together that his inappropriate proclivities would surface and would be too much to bear on top of an accidental death of JB.
A 9-year-old who is twisted enough to do something like that already at that age would not be able to go the next 20 without a whisper of trouble, as Burke Ramsey has. This is the kind of person that turns into a serial killer/rapist and ends up in a book with BTK and Ted Bundy.
First PP here again. As far as the time between the head trauma and the strangulation I think it could be possible that she was hurt so badly that she appeared to be dead to the parents and they therefore went and staged the rest of the crime scene not knowing she was technically still alive at that time.
Its possible that Burke or someone else could have sexually assaulted her. From what I remember about the autopsy report the ME thought that there was evidence of sexual trauma on her that was not from that night and would have happened previously.
Bottom line: I think there was a lot that went on in that home behind closed doors. Very sad for all involved.

They have not. Experts range from not being able to rule her out to thinking it points to her. And the note was definitely written with a pad of paper and pen from the home, and there was a rough draft written before the final note. Why would a note be left if the girl was already dead, also?

Additionally, if they parents had abused her either before or that night openly (while Burke was awake) then it seems pretty likely a child of that age would have disclosed that eventually.
I think there an equal possibility it was an intruder because none of the Ramseys seem to have any indication of the psychopathy required to do this to a small child. You have to take that into account. It's a very brutal crime with a sexual element (whether "staged" or not). That's statistically one of the rarest kinds of homicide (vs for example shooting someone in a drug deal). It just seems so improbable that someone would commit this crime because their child got injured...or wet the bed...or anything. It would have to be a depraved heart psychopath

And your "radar going off" has more merit than someone who knows them personally? If someone accused your husband of murdering your child because your husband made their radar go off, how would that make you feel.

Scott Peterson always gave me that feeling, too. And as soon as I saw the husband talk during the recent case of the missing paramedic (in this area) my gut said that he was telling the truth.
Like it or not people are going to listen to their gut on things like this. Patsy Ramsey was a presentable woman but there was always something fishy about her to me. I can't explain it. Maybe it was a combination of things - the pageants, the makeup on a little girl, the odd circumstances of the ransom note (which was written on a notepad inside the Ramsey home) and how JonBenet was found along with what had been done to her.
I don't buy the intruder. I don't think that a 9 year old boy could have done this. Unfortunately that leaves the question of the parents.

I think it is possible one of the parents hit her in the head (not intending to kill her - fit of rage or whatever.) Later, they may have realized they had done serious, unexplainable damage but that she wasn't dead, and strangled her as a last resort, if you will, thinking that the alternative was that she would be a vegetable.

If one of your children hit your other on the head or caused them to hit their head, and they were injured, you wouldn't even stop to find out why or how it happened, you would call 911 or drive to straight to the emergency room while getting the story. Obviously no one knows. This isn't the first murder where they don't have a suspect. Doesn't mean the parents did it. The parents were too successful and well off to have murdered their own child. They parents didn't have any motive and they could have paid someone to take care of her and then eventually sent to boarding school if they wanted to get rid of her.

I don't think so. PP said they could have paid for a nanny and boarding school, as though their level of money means they could have come up with a non-lethal solution. The mind of a murderer doesn't work that way.
