I'm fairly certain that's what it is.  Studies have shown men tend to vastly overrate sexual interest.

I once nodded at this guy in a supermarket and he flirtatiously smiled and said "Why are you following me?"  I was like "Huh?" and walked away fast. I thought hard and realized I had passed the guy a couple aisles back.  Somehow he had turned it in his mind into I was following him all over the store, apparently due to the sexual attraction I felt towards an obese man who had to be about 40 and had children with him  :lol:
