One of the smartest, nicest guys I knew in HS started at Davidson, found it too parochial, and transferred to Arizona State.  He's done great for himself.  Some of you are just ridiculously stuck on top-rated schools (and likely brand-name merchandise as well). [/quote]

ASU is a party school for dumb but rich east coast kids.  And a totally different breed from the Arizona kids who attend ASU.  Everyone at ASU knows the difference.  [/quote]

PS I think PP's point about not allowing her daughter to apply to ASU was because she was ONLY applying to be with then-boyfriend.  A damn good reason not to let your kid apply to any school.  [/quote]
