OP - Don’t let these posters get you down. You need to understand that in their minds, you are a person of privilege - simply because you are white. It doesn’t matter that you grew up poor, or on the “wrong side of the tracks” or didn’t have the advantages of other “whites.” Just because you are white, you are privileged. This is the mindset of a liberal. ALL whites are privileged, so it matters not what your experience is or if you have been discriminated against because - well, you are white. You see, the liberal mindset groups people together in order to divide. Your individualism does not count. You are part of a group - a white group. So, you cannot win any kind of argument about being mistreated, because, remember, you are white, and therefore, privileged. When I have been treated as you have in the past, I think about the fact that not EVERYBODY is as bigoted as the person I encounter. Not everybody is hateful and rude. There are still a lot of kind, understanding people in this country. You are just not going to find them on this site.
OP here-Amen to that and thank you! While I do try to see and experience every person as an individual-DCUM is one place where I find that difficult to do. Would love to know the actual demographics of the folks on here (though I can take an educated guess). I would say that the "liberal" ones would crap their pants if they ever had actually live or experience "real" life-the lives of those less fortunate regardless of color. It is easy to be idealogically or theoretically liberal. I beleive in justice for all-I do not condone law breaking, or bad behavior by anyone regardless of your color or anything else. It is like beating a dead horse trying to get through to these DCUM folks-sadly they are likely a group of well educated, upper middle class folks, full of privilege and opinions which are not based in any sort of actual real life experience or reality!
Careful OP, you are profiling.
