NP here. How is PP calling one Muslim an unhinged chick--not for her religion, but for her argument style--an act of insulting Muslims (collectively)? This PP has repeatedly said she is not anti-Muslim. She is married to a Muslim and the mother to one so the weight of the evidence is in her favor on this. She has many disagreements, however, with various Islamic teachings. That does not make her anti-Muslim and that does not make her an Islamaphobe.
Quite the contrary. Her husband is secular. She hates Islam. Her husbands family pressures her to convert and she resists because she hates Islam. Now shes on DCUM calling one of only two Muslims writing here an unhinged chick. I would say my being Muslim has something to do with her insult.
Ok--so now I am confused. PP is married to a Muslim but because you have decided (not sure on what basis) that he is a secular Muslim, being married to him does not count as showing her non anti-Muslim bona fides? I also have no idea on what basis you have decided that her husband's family has pressured her to convert; as far as I recall, the PP in question has never said this. She has said, she would never convert to Islam because she disagrees with many of the teachings. Disagreement with teachings does NOT equate to hate, a point this PP and others have made repeatedly but you seem very stuck on the equation disagreement with Islamic teachings=hate of Islam.
The evidence about PP's husband is seculra is that he mocked an Islamic "scholar" on a call in radio show for telling a caller she couldn't undress in front of male jinn. Laughing about that shows he loves Islam enough to not want see it debased and has a sense of humor about it.
