I am one of the posters who called a post hysterical (the one about our hospitals quickly becoming overwhelmed). It seems that others are using hysterical in the medical sense. Hysteria (or female hysteria) hasn't been a medical diagnosis in 50 years. I'm not accusing anyone of mental illness, I'm accusing some people of getting carried away and coming close to unreasonable panic.
Where do you see "panic"? I am disturbed by your insistence on gaslighting people you don't agree with. Maybe you should see someone about that. By definition, a person who is in a true state of "panic", isn't going to be sitting around coming up with arguments or policy ideas. They'd be out getting tin foil hats or something. What you mean is that you think those people are being unreasonable. Fine. Say that. You might be right. You might not. But your gaslighting has the intent of covering up that question with your own over-the-top reaction. The first person who said that lead was a neurotoxin was accused of "panic" and "hysteria" as well. I know him -- he told me. It's a common defense for people that just like to sideline people they disagree with. It's poor behavior.
