The fact that OP thinks it's somehow massively unclean to have shoes off while driving is bizarre to me. People go barefoot all the time. Me walking to my car in shoes, taking them off in the car, driving, then putting shoes back on is arguably less dirtying than walking around a house barefoot with pets and kids on the loose.[/quote]
