I drive barefoot.

I play in the backyard with my kids barefoot.

I walk around on the beach and boardwalk barefoot.

I go to the mailbox barefoot.

I've stood around on the playground barefoot.

I've walked around stores barefoot after I start trying things on.

It's not a big deal. Why not? There's this wonderful invention called *Soap*. Perhaps you've heard of it.

Me too. I drive barefoot all the time and it's never been an issue.

The fact that OP thinks it's somehow massively unclean to have shoes off while driving is bizarre to me. People go barefoot all the time. Me walking to my car in shoes, taking them off in the car, driving, then putting shoes back on is arguably less dirtying than walking around a house barefoot with pets and kids on the loose.

I'm a guy. I don't see what the big deal is about driving without shoes and I frankly expect it out of women. Heels, and all.

When I drive barefoot I put ziplock sandwich bags on them to keep the pedal dirt off my feet. It's tricky because my feet slip off the brake sometimes.
