I've been wondering why none of the suitors are interested in Rose.  She's a fresh-faced ingenue with money and a title... why no interest?

I also wish one of them would take a liking to Edith.  Aside from her sad-sack ways, she's my favorite.  I loved the last scene when she marched out of the drawing room after announcing she would be going back to Switzerland (presumably, for her baby). I think the implication is that everyone likes Mary because she's oh-so-sharp and witty, as opposed to Rose, who is a pretty shell.  But who knows.  I agree that Edith needs more of a life.  What was that line Mary said about how she'd rather sleep on the roof than share a roof with Edith?  Poor Edith.[/quote]
