Sorry to hear that. It sounds like a very difficult place to be.

I'm not the OP, but my brother and his wife had a very similar situation two years ago. He was out with some guys from work during a business trip, they were all drinking...yada yada yada, he comes home full of remorse and she's devastated and not sure what to do. But they did ultimately work through it and are still together now.

In the end, they didn't think a one-time event was a good reason to break up their otherwise good marriage. He gave up drinking with the guys entirely, which I think went a long way in showing his wife how serious he was about avoiding a repeat situation. And they did some counseling together. I think they are doing quite well now. My sister-in-law and I have a close relationship and we talk a lot, and unless she's hiding it extremely well, she doesn't seem to be hurting over this anymore. But it did take quite a while (a good year, anyway) for her to get to this point. So hopefully, there's some light at the end of this tunnel for you, too.[/quote]
