Paramount 17s got an Open bid with a 3rd place finish. I think Paramount 16s just missed an open bid - the Big South results in SportWrench show them as coming in 6th and show 2 teams that finished higher already having open bids. The Big South web page showed 3 bids available in 17 Open [url]https://www.bigsouth.us/qualifier-information[/url]. If that’s correct, then bids would have rolled down to 5th place. But if Big South had one of the extra USAV provisional bids or their previously earned bids were not up to date, then Paramount 16s would have an open bid. Anyone know for sure?[/quote]
Paramount 16 missed an Open bid by 2 points in the third set of their last match. Good luck to them this weekend in Kansas City!

Blue Ridge 16 won a USA bid at Big South. That means MVSA 16 will receive a Freedom bid?

Blue Ridge 14 has the "National" bid by winning the Chesapeake Regionals.
Blue Ridge 15 has the "National" bid by winning the Chesapeake Regionals.

Maybe this is your point, but National bids are higher than USA, so Blue Ridge 14s and 15s will stay in National. I thought if a team at a qualifier holds a higher bid, the bid they would have won trickles down to the next highest finisher at the qualifier, as long as that team made the gold bracket. Or do the USA bids fall to the region to reallocate?

For 16s, USA is higher than American so Blue Ridge will take the higher bid and the American bid will go back to CHRVA which should result in some teams moving up and an additional team getting a Freedom bid. [/quote]
