1 NT
2 NT
3 NT
4 FL
5 FL

Not a weaker division—Open is the highest division—but a weaker qualifier.

My DD’s CH team lost to a Texas team in 15 USA at NEQ last weekend, while the Lone Star Qualifier was taking place in Houston at the same time. A Texas team chose Philly over Houston and finished in 3rd place.

There are lots of multi-day tournaments that aren’t qualifiers that are popular nevertheless. Think Cap Hill, Volley by the James, East Coast Championship in Pittsburgh, etc. Traveling to play in a 3-day tournament to play against teams from a wider geographic area can be a highlight for teams with little hope of earning a bid, and Philly would be a decent option for CHRVA teams since you don’t need to fly to get there. I understand there are folks on these forums that feel that teams like that should lower costs and stick to regional tournaments, but personally I think there is value in the experience, even if there are no bids at stake.

A mistake? MOCO is in gold, so it should be 9th.

There are quite a few CH teams in that division. What is your sense? Does this standing reflect the reality on the ground?
