I always find it amazing that so many people think Randy Clarke is would win a race for mayor. There is a 0.0 chance of a white male who has lived in this city for like three years getting elected. And his name recognition outside of the Ward 1 and Ward 6 white privilege bubbles is nil, except as the guy who totally ruined the Metrobus system.

I don't think anyone doubts that. But I do think a lot of people wish someone new would run. And especially after the city's abysmal response to the snowstorm, it would be great if we could get a technocrat type who would just focus on making the government actually work. We have extremely high taxes and a government that struggles to do even the basics. I don't know much about Duffie, but I don't think JLG could successfully organize a two car parade. She's about the last person I'd expect to make the government work better. [/quote]
