colleges will look at your kid compared to their peers in the same HS. If 90% of Wootton families are moving to Crown, not much will have changed, other than maybe since Crown will have a higher FARMs rate, your high stats kid will stand out more.

Go read the UMD acceptance thread.  Lots of high stats kids from W schools get rejected at UMD.  If that kid went to a school with a higher FARMs rate, they'd probably have an easier time getting into UMD.

It’s actually harder in many states to get into your local top state university as a state resident. The university wants a more diverse student body, along with that sweet out of state tuition and international full tuition kids. In state tuition is a discount off list price that must be carefully rationed. [/quote]
