I mean, I like Sabrina's music but I wouldn't say she's a great role model or even a role model at all? She's a pop star.

I think a major issue with some parents is they expect celebrities to be role models to their kids then act incensed when they learn that, shockingly, a single childless 25yo whose career is shaking their ass on stage is not a good role model. I'm a millennial and this was a thing in the late 90s. From her first album to her nervous breakdown, Britney Spears was putting out increasingly sexual music and parents were pissed. Why these people were relying on a white trash teenager from Louisiana to parent their kids I'll never know.

It's not Sabrina Carpenter's job to parent your kids. It's her job to make music and put on a show. Her demographic is not kids. It's women and gay men ages 18-34.

You should aim to be your kids' role model rather than relying on a celebrity to fill that void. [/quote]
