Curious. Did your mom stay on top of your tests and school work like you are doing?
Yes, she did. All of my friends now also keep up with their kids’ assignments.
Good luck with college
Y'all seem to be under the impression that those of us that keep track of our kids' school work are sitting there telling them what to do, when, doing their work for them, etc. Most of us are not. We just ask questions - what tests do you have coming up this week, how do you feel about it, do you need any help/additional resources - not actually do the work for them, or not allow them to take responsibility for their own school work. DD has a physical planner with her, so she can keep track of her assignments/quizzes/tests. She asked for one, after she tried an app and didn't like it. She puts in information. She screws up occasionally by not entering all the information she needs to (for instance, this week, she scheduled work for when she has a school commitment). She learns from it, and does better next time. I do stay up with her when she has to study. I'm a night owl anyway, and it's not a shift to my sleep schedule, but I think she appreciates that there is someone keeping her company.
AP means it is a college course.
Right. Being taken by 15 year olds. Who need more support than an 18 year old would, even if it's a parent staying up with them and keeping them company.
Maybe 15 is too young for a college course.........
