Yes everyone(not just the driver) has to show ID and proof of citizenship. A real ID is not proof of citizenship. You also have to give a reason why you are traveling- where you are going, who you are meeting, where you are coming from, address of employer, etc. They can impounded your car and take your phone if ICE or Customs and Border Protection (CBP). But, after years of failed crime policies, the normies have started to overtake the activists.  These things tend to cyclical.
