Yes everyone(not just the driver) has to show ID and proof of citizenship. A real ID is not proof of citizenship. You also have to give a reason why you are traveling- where you are going, who you are meeting, where you are coming from, address of employer, etc. They can impounded your car and take your phone if ICE or Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
So in DC now we have to travel with papers. We are truly in a Gestapo state.
If you’re driving a car, it’s not unreasonable to assume you’d have your drivers license, registration, and proof of insurance with you.
What is unreasonable about that?
Have you heard of the 4th Amendment?
The PP said "if you are driving a car" and he/she is correct. You do have to provide DL, Registration and proof of insurance during a traffic stop. That has been long established and isn't subject to 4th amendment.

Just your license.
What is the point of all then? Is the National emergency a huge rash of drivers without licenses?

No, and you can refuse. Look up You Tube videos on it.
Anonymous wrote:The word is out, they have checkpoints at the DC line. Stopping cars coming into DC from Maryland and Virginia. They are doing this because a lot of the people committing the crimes are Maryland and Virginia residents. A lot of the kids are from there.

Most successful political operatives don’t actually live in DC. Now, a lot of political ACTIVISTS live on DC. But, after years of failed crime policies, the normies have started to overtake the activists. These things tend to cyclical. Eventually, the normies will let their guards down again and return kids activities and church/family. Then, the activists can start to do crazy stuff again.
