They have to either commit a crime or tell a healthcare provider that they are planning to commit a crime (or suicide). And then you can get them 72 hours in a hospital. This needs to change. We have people who are a danger to society and we are just waiting for these ticking time bombs to go off. Often even their own parents are begging for help.
