I'm an obsessive folder/ hanger. Straight out the dryer, every single time. I would lose my everloving mind if a load of laundry sat around unfolded long enough to cool down. Many things get hung up, but many things get folded. I'm a jeans-and-tshirts kind of gal, so all that, obviously. All the kids' clothes. I mate my own socks, but no one else's. And as for spending time with the kids, er, they're with me. They pull their own socks and underwear and pajamas out of the pile and put them away while I'm folding everything else. They love to roll around and burrow in the warm clean clothes.

And it takes no more than 5-10 minute per load, less for the socks/ underwear/ towels load. Compared to the endless misery of ironing. Oh, and I have my washer/dryer upstairs next to the bedrooms. Dryer to bed is about six steps. This makes things infinitely easier.

This is my only housekeeping pleasure/ obsession. I have dust bunnies breeding in every corner. As Erma Bombeck said, "you can write your name on any surface in my house-- but please don't write the date." [/quote]
