Democrats will win with the message “Back to the Middle”! They’re not going to win the fight against right extremism by being left extremism. Frankly(as shon in the last election) right extremism is slightly more palatable to independants/middlers than left extremism. To win them back and gain ground with more liberal republicans, Democrats need to move Back to the Middle. Be the party of common sense responsible government.
Just because you love fascism doesn’t mean that centrist democrats heed to court them.
What is the definition of crazy? Doing the same things over and over expecting…? The American people having been telling democrats for years that they’re not onboard with the far left agenda. They don’t want trans women in women’s sports. While they support a women’s right to choose, they agree with some limits on abortion. They think Affirmative Action should be ending soon. They want schools focused on reading and math and not trying to push social agenda issues. They hate paper straws :). But democrats are betting that if they court the <25% of far left liberals, then other democrats/ independents will fall in line. They are losing that bet. Instead, middlers find the far left so unpalatable that they’ll reason “I’m not voting for the man, I’m voting for the platform”. In a way, democrats are partly responsible for Trump’s re-election because they refuse to listen to the 50% of the nation in the middle. If they start to court the middle, most from the far left will fall in line. But if y'all keep pretending to be blind and continue dismissing the middle, you will continue to lose. Enjoy your confused expression on election night. Back to the Middle!
Couldn't have said it better. There were so much focus on issues that were not life changing for vast majority of people that it created problems of their own. Solutions created problems and division in society. This division didn't sit well with moderates who saw complete neglect of their real concerns (cost of living, inflation, stagnant wages, mass layoffs, predatory healthcare system, race to the bottom in education, mass transfer of wealth, feeling insecurity in being able to retire, worry about kid's ability to afford life, not to mention upward mobility, having to invest as a second job just to keep already saved and taxed money, etc, etc).
This was the result of the GOP constantly pushing these issues. If you actually paid attention to policy and you truly are in the middle, you would have voted Dem. You're just bloviating. The GOP propaganda gotcha.
Well said.
