My son knows most of his teachers feelings about Trump. It’s not like they hung Biden, Harris or Trump flags but it was kind of hard to ignore the elephant in the room over the last year. His social studies teachers do discuss politics and that makes sense to me. It sounds like they’re basing discussions on facts not opinion.
A number of my students seem to think they know my feelings about Trump. They are wrong. Not once have I discussed politics in my classroom, so I am not sure why they think my feelings about Trump are obvious. Maybe they think my race is an indicator, but they are wrong. My feelings about Trump are actually the opposite of what they've told me they think I think. I just keep a poker face when they tell me that they sure which teachers at our school support versus oppose Trump.
If someone thought I was a Trump supporter I would have to set the record straight. Nobody would blame you.
