Teammates were my least favorite people at school. Quit after freshman year; I was recruited but it was Ivy so no scholarship, so I just started complaining about leg injuries and gradually stopped going to practice, and nobody seemed to care. Most painful time of my life. Only re-discovered a love of soccer later. I had many friends who played and worked in MLS, and I sat in the friends and family boxes many times. It was interesting to see parents of professional players still yelling at their kids. I do think MLS today is at a very different level than it was in the late 90s and early 2000s, but back then, you could always hear the DC United goalkeeper's mom yelling at him, in a very empty RFK.[/quote]
