I will stand wherever I want…been doing so for many years and I don’t give a rat’s bum what any of y’all think.
If the sideline police want to report me, I’m easy to spot. I stand by the goal line away from everyone and I am very quiet. My kids are defenders and I enjoy watching them play. If that makes me a helicopter parent, then sign me up.
You are part of the problem, it has nothing to do with what comes out of your mouth. Moments get tense for some and you are there just to poke the bear. Just go to your side, I don't care where your kid plays. What's so hard?

As a referee, I would ask you to move. Spectators shouldn't be behind the goal line or on the side from the goal line to the top of the 18 yard box. So at the very least, can you abide by those rules so the referee might not have to stop the game to manage your stupidity?

Anonymous wrote:Some awful Loudoun parents. Typical snowflake type. Screaming out of control and “tough play” is okay unless their angel is touched and if angel gets warned or carded “wasn’t their fault”. Blah

Anonymous wrote:It's funny how "mental" all of you are acting on a thread to call out "mental parents". You are proving OP right. Bunch of lunatics out there and on here. So...I guess I'll join everyone...as far as where parents should be. Yes, parents should be across from your team and stay there. If one or two cross over to watch their kid because maybe a forward or a GK...of course we judge you as a helicopter parent but don't say anything to you. However, if more than 1 or 2 come over, I view this as the parents are just being a bunch of as-sholes and are looking for trouble. It's really not hard to just stay on your side. However, I did see a parent from another team run the sideline the whole game yelling to his kid before. Thank goodness that was only once.

OP here...100% why I posted in the first place haha. I am happy to report that my kid's pre-ECNL match was civil and almost pleasant this weekend. However, we did dominate so that may have helped.
