I feel like I'm in upside down land. I’m at the point where, if I could find a legitimate moderate republican candidate who is pro-choice, I’d be voting for him/her. I can’t be the only democrat feeling this way? If it weren’t for the GOP’s backwards views on abortion and gun control, I’d be voting Harris/Hogan, frankly.[/quote]

I definitely understand this point of view. I feel somewhat similar. To me, though, it's mostly the rhetoric from some Democrats that I find off-putting. If you ignore what they say, and just pay attention to the policies and laws enacted, there's really no question in my mind that I'm far more aligned with the Democratic party than the Republicans. Hogan might come close, but a lot of that is skewed because he was limited by what he could do with a Democratic legislature.[/quote]
