Bowser is a joke and her inability to do any good for this city combined with her reelections means that she is a great argument against statehood. Take her $500 million for Leonsis, after he had been turned down by VA as an example. Her desire to give away every piece of public land she can in the name of development is a dereliction of her duties to us residents. Her failure to combat crime - the police literally just stopped work and restarted when Council agreed to their demands but before the law went into effect - is another example. She has surrounded herself with cronies in her little coterie economy, while city services just aren't working. [/quote]
