This person is a one trick pony.  MCPS has no control over gun laws and even if they put in more gun laws, the guns are already on the street and people ca 3-d print them.  So, we need both.  However, the question is why can MCPS do about keeping our students and staff safe.  Hire more security, bring back SRO's, security camera's, metal and other detectors to start with.  Then, start suspending and expelling violent kids.[/quote]

Seriously…. This is where you decided to take this.  One could say it’s almost like the police have used and abused their position of authority against many people for years, essentially abandoning the rule of law to which they were sworn to uphold.  For years people kept saying this was true and complaining but were dismissed until video after video after and investigation after investigation surfaced proving the complaints were true.

Jawando and the other “social justice warriors” in the greater DC area have passed policies which directly caused the massive crime-wave we are experiencing.

I think you will agree with me that the so-called “social justice” / Jawando approach had been a complete and utter failure.

And those paying the price for the SJW’s misguided and dangerous approach have been our children, who have been unwittingly thrust into a hostile learning environment.

I'm not crazy about Jawando either. [b]Last I knew he wouldn't even send his kids to MCP[/b]S. Nevertheless, I feel threads like this attempt to hype these issues. Yes, there are incidents in MCPS but these are rare. My kids' DCC school never has any of the problems being discussed here. I'm far more concerned about the lack of focus on education.[/quote]
