Maybe because many have a track record of personal happiness decisions that are at diametric odds with the happiness and well-being of their wives and family.

Men’s happiness (more work accolades, vices, trophy wife, over-eating, “decompression time alone”) diametrically and self centeredly takes away from others’ close to them.

Women’s happiness (smooth running home, healthy growing children, active conversating and problem solving)  is exponential, and spreads to the children, husband, community, extended family.[/quote]
