Maybe because many have a track record of personal happiness decisions that are at diametric odds with the happiness and well-being of their wives and family.
Men’s happiness (more work accolades, vices, trophy wife, over-eating, “decompression time alone”) diametrically and self centeredly takes away from others’ close to them.
Women’s happiness (smooth running home, healthy growing children, active conversating and problem solving) is exponential, and spreads to the children, husband, community, extended family.
Martyr complex. You sound like a narcissist.
Stuck a nerve.
Reality bites.
Yeah, no. You just seem like an annoying scold who uses ridiculous generalizations about men.
But I can do the same for women. You all rely on your feelings too much and not on actual facts.

The problems start when someone’s personal happiness decisions are at diametric odds with the other family members’ happiness and well-being.

Put the over eating to the women’s column. Have you what half our women look like?

what makes a married woman with kids happy?
be specific. there's your answer.
Anonymous wrote:Because it's an old-fashioned saying that dates to a time when women's financial and physical wellbeing depended almost entirely on their husband's behavior, and men's emotional wellbeing depended almost entirely on their wife. The more current version is "happy spouse, happy house."

Are you joking? Traditionally, men have dictated everything in a marriage. Surely you know that. As late as the 70's or so, wives couldn't even get credit in their own names . . . . in short, men have always been valuable.
Also, it's a silly saying. You poor thing.
You are absolutely correct. But would you agree though that today we value women’s mental health more than men’s?
NP. I disagree with your last statement.
Society very much values both women and men's mental health.
Men just don't talk about it or read about it or think about it (mental health of them or anybody). And when asked to consider it, they do not or they get angry at the suggestion.
lol your post shows how much society values men’s mental health. It does not. Men are not to complain or be unhappy. They are just there to be used and discarded when they are used up. Make sure you tell this to your sons.
Dude, who beat you up?
