It's not a priority to the adults who make decisions. If it was, they would wait until 6 am to make the call about Saturday morning and wait until 10:30 am to make the call about after noon, and wait until tomorrow morning to make the call about Sunday. If they did that, all the games this afternoon and tomorrow would have happened. Because it's cold but not terrible out.

And I get that some of you are fine with that. But hear me (and care) when I saw it's a really big disappoint to a lot of our kids. The rec season is like 8 games total. The kids get one practice a week (and many of those have also been canceled). Arlington only has one basketball team per middle school, so almost no kids get to play for their middle school. And to make a HS freshman team kids are competing against 80 others. For most kids, rec basketball is *their* season. They care about it. They look forward to it. And we shouldn't take it away from them just because it's cold out.[/quote]
