+1, and because he's off-putting, his character makes no sense. IRL, Harry was terrible at school and got into trouble a ton, but also affable and funny. Combined with sympathy people have for him because of his mom, it's easier to understand why he was handled with a lot of forbearance, by his family, the press, the public. Why people still liked him when he was screwing up. He was a lovable oaf.

This Harry comes off as smarter than IRL, but also unkind and smug. So when he's terrible at school or messes up, it comes off as manipulative, intentional. But also it feels like a mystery as to why anyone puts up with it, because he's also rude and unpleasant. They basically eliminated all his good qualities. Such an unnuanced portrayal.[/quote]
