Why should the state redistribute wealth?  People are never equal, and you don't deserve freebies just because you exist and breathe air. We will all be equal when we are all equally in the toilet and below mediocre while simultaneously destroying any motivation to create, innovate, and to work hard.

I'm sure handing out freebies helps with poverty. Handing out free cash also helps with inflation, gambling addictions, and idiots buying cars with $1000 per month payments too. [/quote]

I make a little over 100k and can barely afford my own property taxes in Fairfax County, which are now up to fully10% of my net salary (yes, they were much lower when I bought my house). They’re only going up astronomically every year.

So, you are either married with a spouse with high income or you cannot afford your house.  You have to be living way over your means in a million dollar house.  Our property taxes are less than half of yours. V[/quote]
